Porto Santo Island

Porto Santo is the perfect place for a boat sleepover, it takes from 2 to 6 hours to get there depending on the boat you choose and the weather conditions. The beaches of Porto Santo Island are filled with fine white sand which is why we recommend you go to ‘the golden island’ with a private charter boat during the summer time so you can make the most of the beaches and serene, calm sea. You will sleep on the boat right in front of the beautiful beach so you can enjoy the best view upon waking. We can also organize pick-ups from the marina of Porto Santo so you can discover the island and enjoy everything it has to offer.

Desertas Islands

The Desertas Islands are a good choice if you are looking for a very exclusive getaway from Madeira, it’s a natural reserve so we will make a request to the authorities so you can have the chance to set foot on this very special Island. The Desertas Islands are about 25km away from Madeira Island and depending on the time of year, the ocean can be a little rougher than other times on the way there. It takes roughly 4 hours to get there and the boats can anchor there for a lovely overnight stay, which is generally the best option so you can enjoy the stunning sunset there. There is also a small colony of Monk Seals inhabiting on and around the island so hopefully you’ll be able to spot them.

Caletha, Jardim & Paul do Mar and Ponta do Pargo

Going to the far West of Madeira Island is also a very good choice, there is the possibility to stop at the beautiful marina of Calheta to have lunch as there are a few nice restaurants to choose from. Continuing West from there you will come across the picturesque village of Jardim do Mar which can be an amazing surf spot depending on the conditions. Next to Jardim do Mar is Paul do Mar, the small fishing village that houses one of the most famous bars in Madeira that serves the best Caipirinhas. Following the West path you will reach Ponta do Pargo and its famous lighthouse which is the westernmost point of Madeira Island.

Faja dos Padres

Faja dos Padres is an incredible location in Madeira. You can only get there by boat or by cable car. It’s perfect for a full day private charter and takes a little over an hour to get there. You can reach the shore and explore this amazing place freely, you can make the most of the exotic fruits and vegetables to try as well as enjoying a delicious lunch at the restaurant by the shore that offers traditional dishes made with local produce. Your yacht will be waiting for your return when you are ready.

Ponta de São Lourenço

Ponta de Sao Lourenco is at the far east of Madeira Island, from Funchal depending on the boat you take the journey will take 2 – 3 hours. The place is sheltered from the waves and allows for a calm mooring and creates the perfect place to swim in the beautiful clear waters. We recommend a full day trip to have a BBQ lunch there or perhaps you would prefer to go on land and visit the Casa Sardinha restaurant in the natural reserve and access the view point that enables you to see Porto Santo if the weather permits.
